Superstar Mahesh Babu hit the screens worldwide with writer-director Trivikram Srinivas in tow for this Sankranti 2024. Titled Guntur Kaaram, the movie which was supposed to be a humongous blockbuster failed to attract the fans and viewers with its poor storytelling and other aspects of filmmaking barring from the exuberant performance of the leading star, Mahesh Babu.

Guntur Kaaram was released on January 12 and features Sreeleela opposite Mahesh Babu for the first time. Ramana (Mahesh Babu) lives with his father Satyam (Jayaram) after his mother Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan) estranges him. She also bears witness to a murder committed by Satyam, sending him to jail. Meanwhile, Ramana is summoned by his maternal grandfather Venkata Swamy (Prakash Raj) to sign documents that deny any property rights. He demands to see his mother Vasundhara, who is now re-married.
