Guntur Kaaram Vs. HanuMan Andhra Box Office Collection: Prasanth Varma's Film Overtakes Mahesh Babu's Actioner
Superstar Mahesh Babu hit the screens with writer-director Trivikram Srinivas' Guntur Kaaram, a family action drama for the Sankranti this year. The movie carried sky-high expectations and opened worldwide on January 12 to Mahesh's career's biggest and record-setting numbers. The actor broke his records as well as the industry records with a regional film.
On the very same day, coming-of-age filmmaker Prasanth Varma, who made some remarkable movies in the past brought his biggest project yet, the first of its kind Indian superhero film titled HanuMan to the audiences. The movie set the cash registers ringing ever since it premiered and looks like there is no stopping this film anytime soon, given the downpour of appreciation and praise.
Guntur Kaaram, despite mixed reactions and dull ratings, is continuing to do commercially well at the box office, thanks to the festive season and extended weekend holidays. The movie which crossed Rs 200 Crore at the worldwide box office is now about to surpass Rs 100 Crore Share value in India. However, the movie needs to keep up with the pace to reach the break-even figures.
