Guntur Kaaram, a family action drama starring superstar Mahesh Babu was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The movie was released as part of Sankranti 2024 Telugu releases, amid great hype and record-breaking numbers on January 12.

Teja Sajja and Prasanth Varma's first Indian superhero film HanuMan was also released on January 12 alongside Guntur Kaaram, without backing out. The movie surprised everyone with its immense positive response and eventually emerged to become the first Sankranti 2024 blockbuster hit.

Saindhav is a dark action thriller in which Venkatesh tried a new kind of character and genre, which he had not attempted before. Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, Saindhav hit the screens on January 13 to a lukewarm response. But, Venaktesh's characterization, action sequences, and his makeover won appreciation. The movie couldn't achieve break-even and remained one of the commercially unsuccessful films.

All these Sankranti releases are running in theatres and are going to enjoy a good run-time in theatres owing to the fact that there are no big releases to replace them, although Captain Miller and Ayalaan's Telugu versions are about to hit screens.

Guntur Kaaram Vs HanuMan Vs Saindhav Box Office Collection

As of January 24, which marks the 13th day of the theatrical run of Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu's movie earned about Rs 119.61 Crore in India.

HanuMan, which was released on the same day as Guntur Kaaram opened to blockbuster reviews after its premiere. The movie quickly surpassed the Rs 150 Crore mark at the global box office and made about Rs 144.19 Crore.

Saindhav, on the other hand, is Venkatesh's prestigious 75th film, which was written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu opened to lukewarm response at the box office and made about Rs 15.04 Crore as of its 12th theatrical release day in India.

HanuMan Cast

Teja Sajja will be seen in the protagonist's role Hanumanthu. Amritha Aiyer is his love interest Meenakshi, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is Hanumanthu's sister Anjamma. This first Telugu superhero film also boasts Vennela Kishore, Satya, Vinay Rai, Getup Srinu, Raj Deepak Shetty, Koushik Mahata, and Bhanu Prakash among others playing pivotal characters.

Along with Venkatesh Daggubati, this family action thriller features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his Telugu debut. He played the role of Vikas Malik. Arya played the role of Manas and Shraddha Srinath as Manogya, Saindhav Koneru's wife. Ruhani Sharma is seen as Dr Renu and Andrea Jeremiah plays the role of Jasmine. Jisshu Sengupta, Mukesh Rishi, and Jayaprakash among others played important roles in the movie.
