The movie HanuMan, featuring Teja Sajja as Hanumanthu, the protagonist, was released for Sankranti 2024 amid decent expectations. The movie was written and directed by Prasanth Varma, who earlier made Zombie Reddy with Teja. HanuMan is the first installment of PVCU, which the director aims to make on a grand scale. Upon its theatrical release and the premiere, HanuMan has been winning accolades.

HanuMan Premise

HanuMan is touted to be the first of its kind Indian superhero film in which the protagonist Hanumanthu will receive superpowers through Lord Hanuma's Rudhiramani. As the power-thirsty antagonist, Michael eyes his Rudhiramani to become a superhuman, his attempts are thwarted. He then wages a war to put an end to the atrocities that happen in his village called Anjanadri.

The Indian superhero film has been earning appreciation and applause for the last couple of days and the movie is continuing to set the cash registers ringing after its grand theatrical release on January 12. The movie surpassed the magic number of Rs 150 Crore at the worldwide box office. With the thumping response the movie garnered in the country and abroad, including other languages, the writer-director of the movie started the pre-production works of his upcoming film in his PVCU, 'Jai Hanuman.' Teja Sajja played Hanumanthu, Amritha Aiyer played his love interest Meenakshi, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was cast in the role of Hanumanthu's sister Anjamma. This first Telugu superhero film also boasts of actors Vennela Kishore, Satya, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, Getup Srinu, Raj Deepak Shetty, Koushik Mahata, and Bhanu Prakash among others playing pivotal characters.
