Exclusive! Hanuman Director Prasanth Varma Reveals He Is In Talks With A Big Bollywood Star For Jai Hanuman

Telugu film Hanuman starring Teja Sajja and directed by Prasanth Varma was released earlier this month. The film has become a blockbuster at the box office and the Hindi dubbed version has also been doing very well. It will soon cross the 50 crore mark which is very good for the Hindi market as the filmmaker and the lead actor are not known faces in the Hindi belt. If you have seen Hanuman, a sequel to the film titled Jai Hanuman has been announced at the end of the film.

Filmibeat recently interacted with filmmaker Prasanth Varma, and when asked if he has visualized any actor to play the role of Hanuman ji in Jai Hanuman, the director said, "Yes, I had actually visualized someone initially while we were making the film. But, later I was approached by another actor, and I thought that he will be the perfect fit for the role of Hanuman ji. But, he said, he is unable to do the film because of another project he is working. I am sure in next couple of weeks you will come to know who all the actors are."

"Right now, I am meeting a couple of actors in Mumbai and also down South who are interested to be a part of Jai Hanuman, so they had approached themselves. I am meeting them, and having conversations with them. For me that vibe is important like when I am talking to an actor I should feel he is my Hanuman. So, that has not happened yet. In fact, I met one of the biggest stars in Bollywood, just before this interview. We had a conversation for around two and a half hours," he added.

Big Bollywood Star In Jai Hanuman!

When asked him who the actor is, "I cannot reveal that (laughs)." When probed to give a hint, he said, "His name starts with, no I can't do it (laughs), that will be a big reveal."

"But, I am surprised that so many big stars have watched the film. I never thought all these people will have time to watch my film. But, they all have watched the film in the first week itself. Most of them were not vocal about it, they didn't tweet about it (smile), but later they called and spoke to me," Varma added.

Well, now we are surely eagerly waiting to know which Big Bollywood star will feature in Jai Hanuman. Let's wait and watch.
