Indra (4K) Re-release: Box Office Collection Day 1: Chiranjeevi's Industry Hit Re-Writes Re-Release Records

Indra 4K Box Office Collection Day 1: Megastar Chiranjeevi's sensational industry hit 'Indra' directed by B. Gopal and written by Chinni Krishna, was released on August 22 amid great fervour and hype. The advance bookings for the Indra movie in the re-release touched the sky and the movie is earning remarkable numbers.

According to the available information, Chiranjeevi's Indra movie is expected to make about Rs 400 Crore if it was released today going by the ticket prices and the film's success scale.

Back when the movie was released 22 years ago, a megastar fan bought five tickets for Rs 2000 each (talking about 2002) which was an insane amount for a movie ticket. Now that the movie has been released in 4K version to mark the 69th birthday of the Padma Vibhushan awardee, fans are celebrating the movie once again in a new era.

Indra Re-Release Box Office Records

Chiranjeevi proved his box office stamina in the re-release segment again as the first-day gross collection touched Rs 2 Crore from the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The re-release of Indra overseas earned about Rs 1 Core and the rest of India collection was counted to Rs 40 Lakh. On the first day of Indra's re-release, Chiranjeevi's film amassed a sensational Rs 3.25 Crore. The movie registered a tremendous opening for Telugu re-releases in Karnataka and bet Mahesh Babu's 'Businessman' movie records.

Indra Cast & Crew

Indra stars Chiranjeevi, late Aarthi Agarwal, Sonali Bendre, Teja Sajja, Sivaji, Mukesh Rishi, Prakash Raj, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, and late Allu Ramalingaiah, later Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, late M.S. Narayana among others in key roles.

Directed by B.Gopal, the movie's story was written by Chinni Krishna with screenplay from Paruchuri Brothers and dialogues written by Siva Akula. C Aswini Dutt produced the movie under his Vyjayanthi Movies banner. V.S.R. Swamy cranked the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the editor. Mani Sharma composed the entire background score and music.
