Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari Sequel: Nag Ashwin To Helm Ram Charan & Janhvi Kapoor-Starrer Fantasy Film?
Ram Charan is now a global star after the release of SS Rajamouli's RRR and its Oscar stint. Janhvi Kapoor, who is trying to carve a niche of her own in the entertainment industry as an actress is already one of the highly-successful youngsters, who is now spreading her charm all over the southern film industries.
Ram Charan's father Chiranjeevi, the Padma Vibhushan and Janhvi Kapoor's mother, the late Sridevi are legends of Indian cinema and are celebrated for their contribution to the industry at large. Their iconic film 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' is a fan favourite and an all-time classic.
Even before Janhvi Kapoor was roped in for Jr NTR's Devara, under the direction of Koratala Siva, to mark her south Indian debut, there were rumours about a sequel to one of the remarkable films of Tollywood, 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari,' featuring her and Ram Charan.
Starring megastar Chiranjeevi and the late Sridevi as the lead roles, the movie was directed by K Raghavendra Rao and co-written by Yandamoori Veerendranath and Jandhyala. Made on a budget of Rs 2 Crore (1990s), the film collected a massive Rs 15 Crore, a trendsetter of those times and the highest-grossing Telugu film. The movie also won as many as five Nandi Awards.

C Aswini Dutt, who is at the helm of the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, which produced the costliest film to date, Kalki 2898 AD under the direction of his son-in-law Nag Ashwin, confirmed the sequel to JVAS as well as Indra, which made record-breaking box office numbers in its re-release.
Nag Ashwin To Direct JVAS 2?
On the occasion of megastar Chiranjeevi's birthday, Indra movie was re-released to epic reception at the box office in the two Telugu states, Karnataka, and overseas. The crew of Indra movie met Chiranjeevi at his home to congratulate him and wish him on his 69th year around the sun.
Speaking on the occasion, Aswini Dutt confirmed the sequel and hinted that the sequel might be directed by Nag Ashwin. This news has amplified the expectations for the film, and the combination, and doubled the excitement. Fans are now eager for the official announcement.
