Kalki 2898 AD Hits A New Box Office Milestone: Prabhas' latest super blockbuster sci-fi movie written and directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD achieved a new milestone at the worldwide box office. The movie which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan among others was released to an overwhelming response and thumping box office figures when it hit the screens on June 27.

Kalki 2898 AD was released in five languages and began to record-breaking pre-release numbers worldwide. The movie now has achieved another stunning and remarkable milestone by earning over Rs 1100 Crore, the first for a Telugu film, which is the costliest one made to date. The movie is continuing to run successfully at the theatres even after five weeks.

Kalki 2898 AD Synopsis
Set in the dystopian city named Kashi, Kalki 2898 AD follows the story of Bhairava (Prabhas) a bounty hunter whose only aim is to move to the Complex ruled by the Supreme Yaskin. There is Ashwattama, who has been waiting to find SUM 80 and her child in the womb. When Bhairava sets off to capture SUM 80, he has to face Ashwattama and other forces.

This epic mythological sci-fi film stars Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as SUM-80, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas, Brahmanandam as Rajan, Bhairava's landlord, Pasupathy as Veeram, a rebel from Shambhala, Anna Ben as Kyra, Shobana, Harshith Malgireddy, Rajendra Prasad, and Keerthy Suresh (voice-over) as BU-JZ-1 alias Bujji.

Vyjayanthi Movies banner bankrolled the movie on a budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire music and sound.
