Did Prabhas Cut Down His Remuneration For Kalki 2898 AD? Written and directed by Nag Ashwin under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner on a budget of Rs 600 Crore, the costliest to date in India, Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan among others is now ready to hit the silver screen worldwide. The science fiction film is set in a dystopian world and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam on June 27.

The advance bookings in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka have opened on June 23 and Kerala bookings on June 24. From the first day of advance bookings collection, Rs 5.2 Crore was earned excluding Kerala.

Prabhas Cuts Down His Remuneration By Almost Half

Prabhas, who enjoys a worldwide craze after the Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2, is being paid around Rs 150 Crore per film ever since. For Kalki 2898 AD too, Prabhas was reported to have taken the same remuneration but the latest figures suggest that the actor took only Rs 80 Crore. The news about the same came as a surprise to many.
