Kalki 2898 AD: Kamal Haasan's Role & Runtime Details: Kalki 2898 AD is the upcoming and highly anticipated movie being made in India. With a humongous budget touching Rs 600 Crore, the movie is likely to go down in history as one of the biggest and costliest multi-starrer films ever made in the country, especially from Tollywood.

National Award-winning director Nag Ashwin is behind Kalki 2898 AD, which boasts an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rajendra Prasad, and Disha Patani in key roles. The filmmakers are splurging over Rs 150 Crore for the film's VFX alone, and are leaving no stone unturned to make the output impactful.

The movie Kalki 2898 AD is set in the future in a fictional city called Kashi. Prabhas will be seen playing the character of Bhairava and the first look poster that was released by the makers earlier got approval from his fans.

Kamal Haasan To Appear On Screen For 20 Minutes ONLY

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is part of this costliest film and is playing the antagonist's role, much to the excitement of the film buffs and the fans. The veteran, who completed filming for his portions a long time ago, will reportedly have a limited screen time of about 20 minutes in the first part of Kalki 2898 AD. A report on 123Telugu said that Kamal Haasan will have a lengthier runtime in the sequel close to 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, the movie Kalki 2898 AD is going to hit the screens on June 27 this year on a mammoth scale as a pan-India release. The makers of the film are planning for a mega pre-release event in Hyderabad on May 22.

On the pre-release event in which pregnant Deepika Padukone is also expected to make an appearance along with the stellar cast, the movie's first single might be released. Musician Santhosh Narayanan is composing the film's soundtrack. Further details will be revealed shortly.
