Kalki 2898 AD: Kalki 2898 AD has been the biggest release in the Indian film industry this year so far. The film, which has garnered more than Rs. 1200 crore worldwide, has still been making headlines for one or the other reasons. Recently, Keethy Suresh, who lent the voice for BU-JZ-1 aka Bujji, a AI bot, in her latest interview hinted that she was supposed to play a human character in the film. She also talked about rejecting the human role in the Nag Ashwin movie. Was she talking about rejecting Deepika Padukone's role in the movie? Let's find out!
Did Keerthy Suresh Reject Deepika Padukone Or Disha Patani's Role In Kalki 2898 AD?
In her latest interview with Galatta Plus, the actress opened up about being offered a 'human' role, however, she rejected it as she wasn't sure about that. Without revealing if the role was of Deepika Padukone's or Disha Patani's, she reevaled this was not the role that Anna Ben played in the movie, "Nagi offered me another role in the film, which I wasn't sure of. It was a human role, I'm glad I said no to it now. He later messaged me one day and said, do you want to peep through the wall at least? I said I would love to do it."
"I didn't understand initially when he said he wanted me to voice an AI bot. I dubbed for Bujji & Bhairava (on Amazon Prime) before I worked on the film. I had a ball dubbing for the role in multiple languages, giving 5-6 modulations in each language to see which would suit it best. Dubbing for a film is normally easier," she added.
