Kalki 2898 AD: Nag Ashwin Says 'People Will Feel Strange & Want To Go Back To That World;' Exudes Confidence

Nag Ashwin Talks About Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD: Nag Ashwin talks about what Kalki 2898 AD is about, why they spent a whopping Rs 600 Crore, and how the movie is going to be special like James Cameron's Avatar. He exudes confidence in Prabhas-Deepika Padukone-starrer. The makers have officially announced the theatrical trailer release date as June 10. Prabhas-starrer's trailer will be played at select theatres in and around the country with a pre-release event planned in Mumbai, Delhi, and Andhra Pradesh.

Kalki 2898 AD is the latest science fiction film starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani among others in key roles. The visual wonder set in the dystopian world referred to as 'Kashi' is set in the future. The makers have also unveiled the special AI character of the film, Bhairava's best buddy 'Bujji,' a flying car, in a recent mega event. Kalki 2898 AD is going to hit the screens worldwide on June 27.

In a recent interview where the filmmaker, who made a National Award-winning film, opened up about making Kalki 2898 AD with a stellar cast. Nag Ashwin, who is married to Priyanka Dutt, one of the producers at Vyjayanthi Movies banner elaborated saying that they have created something very unique and remarkable for the movie buffs through Kalki 2898 AD. The cinematic experience is on international standards and we are sure that it would leave the audiences spellbound.

The director said, "When I saw James Cameron's Avatar, I was blown away and felt disoriented. I wanted to enter that world. Similarly, for Kalki 2898 AD, I hope people will feel really strange when they leave the theatre after watching our film Kalki 2898 AD. I hope they say, Where am I? Can I go back to this world?"

Throwing more light on the film's characters, Nag Ashwin mentioned, "We did not change the character names for the sake of international viewers and I am not concerned that the film does not involve any characters that are actively worshipped by Hindus. We can take it as extremely religious, or we can see it as the story of someone who was born with powers but didn't know what to do with them. He finds his mentor in the process. If you tell it in the Indian context, the movie has a bit of devotion as well as emotion," (As quoted by 123 Telugu).
