Kalki 2898 AD OTT Release: Prabhas' Actioner Film Makes Digital Debut Amid BIG Hype On Prime Video & Netflix

Kalki 2898 AD Debuts on Prime Video & Netflix Amid Buzz: Prabhas' latest action-adventure drama written and directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' finally made its much-awaited digital streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video on August 22 amid hype in the southern languages as the Hindi version made its way to Netflix. Fans are just thrilled and excited about the film's OTT release.

Kalki 2898 AD is the most expensive film produced in India to date. Vyjayanthi Movies, Tollywood's one of the oldest production houses bankrolled the movie on a budget of Rs 600 Crore. By the end of its active theatrical run, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer movie amassed more than Rs 1100 Crore. The movie is one of the very few multi-starrers that included an ensemble cast who are ruling various film industries.

With a synopsis that reads "centuries into the future, at the end of Kaliyuga, a prophecy reveals that the next Avatar shall be reborn. For whom an immortal warrior from the previous yuga must battle against the present government. And then he meets his biggest, most unlikely opponent," Kalki 2898 AD needs no introduction.

Kalki Part 2 Aka Sequel

The writer-director Nag Ashwin started to work on the script for the sequel which he had already planned. Based on the feedback Kalki 2898 AD derived, the writer is giving final touches to the sequel's script and he is determined to showcase Prabhas in all his might and glory. The shooting update and other details will be revealed shortly.
