Prabhas' Science Fiction Thriller Kalki 2898 AD Fetches Record OTT Deal: Prabhas, the pan-India star's upcoming project is one of the highly anticipated, star-studded sci-fi thriller set in the dystopian world titled Kalki 2898 AD. Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, this epic and costliest film is making the right noise ahead of its world release.

Kalki 2898 AD aka Project K features legends Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan, along with Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The movie is being made on a massive budget of about Rs 600 Crore and the recently released glimpse of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and the most special cast of the film, 'Bujji.'

Earlier, Filmibeat reported that there are cameos in Prabhas' film by Dulquer Salmaan, Nani, and Vijay Deverakonda, who all worked with Vyjayanthi Movies before. Keerthy Suresh, who won the prestigious National award for 'Mahanati' directed by Nag Ashwin under Vyjayanthi Movies lent her voice for the specially designed flying car Bujji.

In addition, these actors are also good friends with the producers of Kalki 2898 AD and the director. Owing to their rapport both on and off the screen, these actors are now part of the epic movie by playing special cameos.

Meanwhile, the movie Kalki 2898 AD is going to hit the screens on June 27 this year on a mammoth scale as a pan-India release. The makers of the film are planning for a mega pre-release event in Hyderabad on May 22.

Kalki 2898 AD's Record-Breaking OTT Deals
The science fiction movie, which was made on a budget of Rs 600 Crore has fetched more than half of its entire expenditure from selling away the digital streaming rights.

As per the latest report in Sakshi, Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD's OTT rights were secured by not one but two streaming giants. While Netflix bought the Hindi version rights to the movie for a massive Rs 200 Crore, Amazon Prime Video spent about Rs 175 Crore for the southern languages of the movie. If this is true, Kalki 2898 AD set the new benchmark straight and high with the massive deal.
