Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 On Cards: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Kalki 2898 AD is finally out for the fans and audiences to experience the first of its kind genre and visuals on the big screen. The movie written and directed by Nag Ashwin was released on June 27 in five languages.

While it is already a known fact that the filmmakers and Vyjayanthi Movies banner refrained from carrying out promotional activity for the movie, especially in the Telugu states, director Nag Ashwin and Prabhas took part in a live video discussion ahead of Kalki 2898 AD's release.

After the Kalki 2898 AD hit the screens, the reviews for the film poured in. Many viewers have opined that the visuals of the film are not seen before in a Telugu film and the quality is top-notch.

Kalki 2898 AD Synopsis

The movie is panned from the period of 3100 BC to 2898 AD making it a mythological science fiction genre. Bhairava, a resident of a post-apocalyptic city Kashi, wants to earn enough units to move to The Complex, a city where there is everything and only for the elite. On the other hand, there is also a city called Shambala, which is a refugee camp for the downtrodden. Meanwhile, Aswattama, who vows to protect the child of Sumathi aka SUM 80, faces Bhairava, who is on a mission to capture SUM 80 to go to the Complex.

Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Confirmed By Prabhas

As it was revealed that Kalki 2898 AD movie is India's biggest franchise, during their live interaction 12 hours before the film's grand theatrical debut, Prabhas unknowingly spilled the beans about the film's sequel calling it "part 2" and asked Nag Ashwin to start writing for it. Nag Ashwin agreed in reply. Fans are elated about the same and breathed a sigh of relief.

This epic mythological sci-fi film stars Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as SUM-80, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas, Brahmanandam as Rajan, Bhairava's landlord, Pasupathy as Veeram, a rebel from Shambhala, Anna Ben as Kyra, Shobana, Harshith Malgireddy, Rajendra Prasad, and Keerthy Suresh (voice-over) as BU-JZ-1 alias Bujji.

The movie was written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a massive budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan is the film's music composer.
