Kalki 2898 AD Becomes A Hit By Achieving Break-Even: Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, a science fiction drama with mythological elements infused by writer-director Nag Ashwin is racing towards touching the Rs 1000 Crore. The movie which was released in five languages on June 27 has already amassed Rs 730 Crore worldwide at the box office.

Made on the highest budget of Rs 600 Crore in India, the first to be made on such scale, Kalki 2898 AD started to break existing records and pushed the benchmark higher for the upcoming star-studded films. Prabhas' image coupled with the charisma of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone made the one of the best films of the year and to date in India.

Kalki 2898 AD also has interesting cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Ram Gopal Varma, Mrunal Thakur, and SS Rajamouli.

Kalki 2898 AD Synopsis
Set in the dystopian city named Kashi, Kalki 2898 AD follows the story of Bhairava (Prabhas) a bounty hunter whose only aim is to move to the Complex ruled by the Supreme Yaskin. There is Ashwattama, who has been waiting to find SUM 80 and her child in the womb. When Bhairava sets off to capture SUM 80, he has to face Ashwattama and other forces.

Kalki 2898 AD Achieves Break-Even In NINE Days

The movie, which is successfully running across the theatres with solid hold, became another cleanest hit for Prabhas after Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire and Baahubali 2. Within nine days following the release, the movie surpassed the break-even target.

This epic mythological sci-fi film stars Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as SUM-80, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas, Brahmanandam as Rajan, Bhairava's landlord, Pasupathy as Veeram, a rebel from Shambhala, Anna Ben as Kyra, Shobana, Harshith Malgireddy, Rajendra Prasad, and Keerthy Suresh (voice-over) as BU-JZ-1 alias Bujji.

The movie was written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a massive budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire music and sound.
