Kalki 2898 AD: Amitabh Bachchan Touches Feet Of Ashwini Dutt: The promotional events for the costliest and most highly prestigious film of the year, Kalki 2898 AD, kickstarted on a star-studded note, finally. The cast and filmmakers spoke about this first-of-a-kind science fiction film in India for the first time unfolding in Mumbai. The movie is going to hit the screens worldwide in five languages on June 27.

Producer of the film C Aswani Dutt, founder of the 50-year-old Vyjayanthi Movies, was present at the pre-release event in Mumbai that happened on June 19. The event which saw the entire cast of this stellar production in one place, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, was one of the important events.

First Ticket For Kalki 2898 AD Bought By Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan, the veteran and the superstar of the Indian film industry, who played the role of Ashwattama in Kalki 2898 AD was given away the first ticket to this film by the producers. The man known for his principles immediately opened his purse and gave money to the producer in a respectful manner while accepting the ticket; wishing them good luck.

Kamal Haasan Receives First Ticket From Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan then said that he would like to give away the ticket to his friend and colleague Kamal Haasan. Kamal, who graciously accepted the ticket remarked, "I wish this practice was there 40 years ago because it took me three weeks to get a ticket to watch Bachchan sir's Sholay. I was a technician then and now an actor, but nothing changed in terms of the admiration I have for him."

After this loving scene, what really caught the attention of the media personnel as well as the thousands of fans watching the event live was Amitabh Bachchan's gesture towards the film's producer Aswani Dutt. Not only did the Big B speak highly about Vyjayanthi Movies and Aswini Dutt as a filmmaker, but he also thanked them for the opportunity and bent down to touch the feet of Aswini Dutt, who appeared startled and reverted with the same gesture. Aswini Dutt is 73 years old and Amitabh Bachchan is 81 years old.
