Kalki 2898 AD Sequel Update: Kalki 2898 AD has been the headline maker ever since it was announced. The multi-starrer magnum opus has surpassed the expectations of many when it comes to the box office collection and proved to be a blockbuster. The film, which was earlier announced to have two parts, is gearing up for the sequel, where a mega twist is expected to come. In the film, Deepika Padukone is going to play a pivotal role, whose unborn child is set to change the course of the future of the world. Amid this, there has been reports, that the makers are delaying the film's shooting due to the maternity leave of the superstar, who has given birth to her first child in September.

According to a report by Zoom, the lady superstar is currently devoting her entire time to baby Dua, "Impatient elements are knocking hard on her door. But Deepika won't be returning to the camera anytime in the near future. Deepika is an unconditionally hands-on mother. She won't leave her baby with a nanny for even a minute. She and Ranveer will share all parenting responsibilities," the report stated.

According to the reports, Deepika has given the makers of Kalki 2898 AD to cut her out from the sequel, as they have already started the shooting, however, the makers have decided to wait for her, "She gave them the option of cutting her role to expedite the shooting in her absence. But the producers wouldn't hear of it. They will wait for as long as it takes. They have already shot some portions of her role in the second part. For the rest, they will wait. The Kalki franchisee is unimaginable without Deepika," it further stated.

The sequel will star Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, among others.
