Ticket Hike On Kalki 2898 AD To Be Revoked From Monday? Made on a breathtaking budget of Rs 600 Crore by Tollywood's one of the oldest production houses Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Kalki 2898 AD written and directed by Nag Ashwin is the talk of the country currently. Amid huge fervour and euphoria, the movie starring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone among others was released on June 27 worldwide. Kalki 2898 AD was released in five languages to a thumping response and amazing box office figures.

Kalki 2898 AD made over Rs 500 Crore worldwide within the first four days of its theatrical run. The makers of the film have sought for a special ticket hike GO from the two Telugu-speaking states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to increase their box office collection and cash in on the craze. They have released the movie without much promotional activity across the Telugu states. While a large group of people have been heaping praises on Prabhas, there are also fans, critics, and audiences who were disappointed with the output, except for the stunning visuals. They have many complaints about the film's music, dialogue delivery, first-half, narrative pace, lack of emotional connection, and so on.

The movie is set in the future in a fictional city called Kashi. Prabhas will be seen playing the character of Bhairava, whose aim is to earn more units and move to the Complex. The governments of the two Telugu-speaking states have issued a GO allowing the makers to direct the distributors to hike the ticket prices for single-screens and multiplexes for about two weeks. But, despite the NON-STOP collection spree at the worldwide box office, word-of-mouth about Kalki 2898 AD is kind of mixed. To encourage repeat audiences and enable many others to watch the film in the theatres, the makers are reportedly contemplating to revoke the ticket price hike decision.
