In Andhra Pradesh, the previous government has put a cap on the hike in ticket prices for high-budget films, which are made with staggering amounts going into the pockets of the actors and filmmakers. The burden of hiked tickets has been affecting the common people and entertainment lovers who like to watch movies in theatres.

However, the new government that formed a few days ago in AP state cleared the price hike GO stating price hike on tickets for two weeks. The rate of the ticket can be hiked up to Rs 75 for a single-screen and up to Rs 125 for a multiplex. For the multiplexes, the rate allowed is higher than that of Telangana.

The State government passed a GO allowing the makers of the film and the distributors to hike ticket prices for two weeks. The special fares will be applied on tickets from June 27 to July 4. In Telangana, the government allowed Rs 70 more on the existing tickets for single-screen or normal theatres and a Rs 100 hike for the multiplexes.
