Prabhas, the pan-India star's upcoming project, one of the highly anticipated, star-studded sci-fi drama titled Kalki 2898 AD, written and directed by Nag Ashwin, is back in the headlines.

Kalki 2898 AD aka Project K features stalwarts like Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan, along with Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, etc. The movie is being made on a massive budget of about Rs 600 Crore and the recently released glimpse of Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD sent the fans into a tizzy. The makers are working at lightning speed to complete the shooting. The dubbing and post-production works are going in tandem simultaneously.

With the expectations soaring high with each passing day for Kalki 2898 AD, the makers are now reportedly preparing so much publicity material for the fans to surprise them continuously, leading to the grand worldwide release.

If the report in Asianet Entertainment is anything to go by, the makers of the film, who have sold the movie's theatrical rights in the Hindi region for a whopping Rs 135 Crore, are planning to drop the theatrical trailer in the first week of April, most probably on April 8. A new poster of the film will also be out on the same day along with the trailer. On the other hand, the theatrical release of Kalki 2898 AD is likely to be postponed from May 9, which was announced earlier.

The movie was written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a massive budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan is the film's music composer.

the trade experts and filmmakers are estimating the theatrical rights of Kalki 2898 AD in the two Telugu-speaking states could fetch about Rs 200 Crore and more. The makers are reportedly looking to sell the rights in the overseas market for a minimum of Rs 100 Crore. Overall, by selling the rights of this massive film in all the other regions including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Hindi belt, the producers are eyeing a whopping Rs 500 Crore.
