Last night, Mumbai was abuzz with excitement as the biggest stars gathered to discuss the highly anticipated film 'Kalki 2898 AD'. The event saw the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. This film, which delves into a dystopian inspired by Indian mythology, has been generating significant buzz for its innovative approach and star-studded cast.
The event began with the powerful 'Bhairava Anthem' captivating the audience. Rana Daggubati, a renowned actor and close friend of director Nag Ashwin, hosted the evening. He lent his support to this ambitious project.
Kamal Haasan's Insight on Nag Ashwin
When asked about working with Nag Ashwin, Kamal Haasan shared his thoughts on the young director. He said, "I'm used to these kinds of ordinary-looking people who do extraordinary things. My boss, my mentor, was one such man. He looked like a government official. I thought he would, first thing, if he enters any house, you'll think it's an income tax raid. That's how he looked. But I've seen what he was capable of from the kind of films he did. I think 'Ek Duuje Ke Liye' was his 60th or 70th film. So, I was not surprised. I don't underestimate these ordinary-looking guys. They have a depth to them that doesn't show unless you talk to them. And I did have the opportunity of talking to him. Man, a few words. And that's about the succinct way of putting forward your idea. If it extends to movies, great ideas will translate better. It's when they don't know how to present it that great ideas become ordinary movies. But this guy knew how to present an idea, which, as Amit Ji said, the first thing you want to ask is, what have you been smoking or what have you been drinking? But that's how great ideas are formed. I mean, ordinary people will doubt it and then they'll start respecting it. I could see a bit of that in Nag Ashwin."
The film's producers C. Aswani Dutt, Priyanka Dutt Chalasani, and Swapna Dutt Chalasani were also present at the event. They were joined by an enthusiastic crowd of fans and media personnel from across India.
