Kanguva Advance Bookings: Suriya's Period Actioner Sees Underwhelming Response As Ticket Sales Are Poor

Poor Advance Bookings For Kanguva: Suriya's highly-exciting period action drama Kanguva, co-written and directed by Siruthai Siva, is just three days away from unleashing its brutal rage on the big screen worldwide. The movie is going to be released in multiple languages on November 14.

In this highly anticipated periodic film, Suriya will be seen in five different roles- Arathar, Venkaater, Mandaankar, Mukaatar, and Perumanathar. This action drama was written by Adi Narayana and directed by Siva. The movie will be released in three formats- standard, 3D, and IMAX, giving a variety of movie viewing experiences for the film buffs.

Kanguva's Premise

Kanguva is the story of a warrior who lived in 1678 and died due to a disease. In today's world, a girl is actively researching the disease that killed the warrior of the 16th century.

According to Sacnilk website, the bookings for Kanguva in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in 2D and 3D versions are as follows:

Tamil 2D- Rs 653970 from 2977 tickets sold for 127 shows.

Tamil 3D- Rs 982869 from 4740 tickets sold for 162 shows.

Hindi 3D- Rs 24880 from 76 tickets sold for 154 shows.

Telugu 2D- Rs 1492962 from 10711 tickets sold for as many as 187 shows.

Hindi 2D- Rs 4904 from 23 tickets sold for 98 shows.

Total India Collection (So far): Rs 31,59585 Lakh from a total of 18527 tickets sold for 728 shows.

This Suriya film stars Bollywood actor Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravi Kumar, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and BS Avinash among other in pivotal characters.
