Lok Sabha Elections 2024: South Indian film industry icons Allu Arjun and Jr. NTR made a notable presence at the polling booths as they exercised their democratic rights early in the day. The renowned Telugu actors were spotted casting their votes in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Monday.

Allu Arjun, known for his versatile performances, and Jr. NTR, hailed for his charismatic on-screen presence, arrived at the polling booth, setting an example of civic responsibility for their fans and followers. Their presence added a touch of glamour to the electoral process as eager voters gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars participating in the democratic exercise.

Jr. NTR stood patiently in a queue, sporting a light blue denim shirt, awaiting his turn to cast his vote. Post-voting, he engaged briefly with the media, emphasising the importance of widespread voter participation. He urged citizens to exercise their fundamental rights, stating, "Each individual must exercise their voting rights. I believe it's a valuable message that we should pass on to future generations."

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun, dressed in a white t-shirt, reiterated the call for voting while addressing the press. "Kindly exercise your right to vote. It's the duty of every citizen. Today marks a pivotal day for the next five years. Anticipate a significant voter turnout, with increasing numbers heading to the polls... I want to emphasise that I don't have any political affiliations with any party. I remain impartial to all political factions."

Phase 4 Overview: Lok Sabha Elections in 96 Constituencies

The fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections commenced in 96 Parliamentary Constituencies spanning nine states and one Union Territory on May 13th at 7:00 a.m. Among these constituencies, Andhra Pradesh contributes 25 seats, Telangana 17, Uttar Pradesh 13, Maharashtra 11, while Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal each have eight. Bihar accounts for five seats, Jharkhand and Odisha four each, and Jammu and Kashmir one.

The Election Commission of India stated, "A total of 1,717 candidates from 10 states and UTs will contest elections in phase 4 of the Lok Sabha polls," with 4,264 nominations received for the 96 parliamentary seats. Telangana saw the highest number of nomination forms submitted (1488), followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1103 nominations for 25 constituencies. According to the IMD forecast, there are no significant concerns regarding hot weather conditions during Phase 4 polling. So far, the polling process across 283 Lok Sabha constituencies has progressed smoothly and peacefully up to Phase 3, as reported by the Election Commission.
