The movie which showcased the actor in a new light and his usual self, failed to make use of the opportunity at the box office. Written and directed by Sriram Adittya, the comedy-drama stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead.

Sharwanand with his epic comedy timing effortlessly pulled the entire film together on his shoulders. Manameyyy's first half is said to be entertaining but the second half falls flat due to a lack of impactful scenes and emotional connect. The movie has a lengthy runtime with a preachy message for the climax, reportedly.

The movie hit the screens worldwide amid high expectations on June 7. But, due to the lack of emotional connection and numerous flaws in execution, Maname failed to impress fans, movie lovers, and critics. Within a month after its theatrical release, the movie is now ready for streaming debut.
