Nagarjuna Shares Why They Had To Conduct Naga Chaitanya & Sobhita's Engagement Suddenly: The news about the engagement of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala spread like wildfire from midnight of August 8 raising a few eyebrows. Their engagement shocked many and surprised a few. More than the best wishes, their engagement pictures and the news itself drew so much criticism, hate, harsh comments, and negativity.

About a year ago, reports about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita seeing each other have surfaced online as the couple were spotted hanging out in London. Time and again, they were both spotted on various holidays across Europe and in India. While everybody believed that they are indeed dating, the pictures from their wildlife safari in India confirmed the news for the netizens. However, nobody thought that they would get engaged and that too so quick.

It has been only about two years post Naga Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha, the news that broke millions of hearts across the two Telugu states with fans taking sides of their favourite actors. Samantha also had to face so much negativity and trolling for divorce as the reason for their split was undisclosed to date.

Nagarjuna Talks About Why There Was A Sudden Engagement

Nagarjuna, in a recent interview with a national media house, was reportedly quoted saying by several online news portals about what went behind Naga Chaitanya's divorce and his subsequent engagement. He said, "The phase (divorce) was tough for us as a family and Chaitanya was depressed. He is not someone who shares his feelings with others but I noticed he was unhappy. We are so relieved to see him smile again. Chay and Sobhita love each other dearly and they are confident about getting married.

When they told us that they wanted to get married, we had to conduct the engagement ceremony quickly. As we were told that the muhurtham on August 8 was auspicious, we immediately organized the close-knit event at home. They make each other very happy.
