Kalki 2898 AD Dethrones RRR In Overseas: Prabhas is the only pan-India star who is capable of setting new records and breaking the previous one by pushing the target to the next level with each of his releases. The 'Darling' actor, hit the screens with a sci-fi mythological drama titled Kalki 2898 AD.

Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie stars Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan among others in solid roles. The movie which was released on June 27 in five languages is now closing in on hitting the Rs 1000 Crore. It has already collected Rs 800 Crore worldwide, as per the makers of Vyjayanthi Movies.

Kalki 2898 AD opened to record-breaking pre-sales in the northern USA beating all the existing records of Indian films that were released in the USA. The movie has already achieved several milestones and set new and higher grade records. Over time, the movie's collection in India slightly dropped but it is continuing to set the box office on fire at overseas.

On the other hand, the filmmaker Nag Ashwin, and the producers are urging the fans and film buffs to extend their repeated patronage to Kalki 2898 AD so that the movie could achieve the feat of entering the Rs 1000 Crore club within two weeks of its theatrical run.

Kalki 2898 AD Synopsis
Set in the dystopian city named Kashi, Kalki 2898 AD follows the story of Bhairava (Prabhas) a bounty hunter whose only aim is to move to the Complex ruled by the Supreme Yaskin. There is Ashwattama, who has been waiting to find SUM 80 and her child in the womb. When Bhairava sets off to capture SUM 80, he has to face Ashwattama and other forces.

The movie was written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a massive budget of Rs 600 Crore. Djordje Stojilijkovic is cranking the camera for this science fiction action thriller. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the film's editor. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire music and sound.
