Prabhas' epic action-thriller written and directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar Part 1:Ceasefire, which was released worldwide in five languages on December 22, was a sensation at the box office. The craze for Salaar and Prabhas needs no elaboration.

Similarly, writer-director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's hyped and remarkable Bollywood project, a pan-India release starring Ranbir Kapoor titled 'Animal' was also one of the most-awaited films that hit the screens on December 1. Both these films are the biggest and most hyped releases that made an impact on the Indian film industry.

Animal and Salaar Part 1:Ceasefire hit the digital streaming space on OTT giant Netflix India, within a few days gap. After their respective OTT debut, these movies created a record on Netflix India.

According to Tollywood enthusiasts, the viewing time of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in three days is already higher than Prabhas' Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire's nine days on Netflix India.

Salaar Premise

Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu), the ruler of Khansaar wants to make his son Vardharaja Mannar aka Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran) his successor. An internal coup tried to kill Vardha by deploying armies from countries like Russia and Serbia to collapse the entire Khansaar along with Vardha. Vardha eventually escapes the attack and meets with Deva, his childhood best friend. Deva jumps into action to settle scores for his friend.

The first part of Salaar: Ceasefire stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, Madhu Guruswamy, Saptagiri, Prudhvi Raj, Jhansi, Brahmaji, Naga Mahesh, Dubbaka Bhaskar Rao, and Gemini Suresh among other in key roles.

Animal Premise

Animal revolves around a troubled father-son relationship, set in the backdrop of extreme bloodshed in the underworld which leads to the protagonist turning into a psychopath.

The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun Singh and veteran Anil Kapoor as his father, Balbir Singh. Bobby Deol will be seen playing the role of Vishal Chaudhary, and Rashmika as Geetanjali. In addition, the movie stars Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Babloo Prithveeraj, Siddhant Karnick, Saurabh Sachdeva, Maganti Srinath, Upendra Limaye, Indira Krishnan, Raghav Binani, and Mathew Varghese among others in key roles.
