Pushpa 2 To Have Extended Runtime of 18 Minutes: India's fastest Rs 1500 Crore grosser, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 The Rule, entered the third weekend with the same momentum. Within just 16 days after its pan-India release in six languages worldwide, the movie written and directed by Sukumar and his team made a killing at the box office like never before. The movie is currently at the third place among the 'All-time Highest Grossing Indian Films' after Aamir Khan's 'Dangal,' and Prabhas' 'Baahubali 2.' Allu Arjun is gearing up to break those records in the coming few days as there is no stopping Pushparaj anytime soon.

The movie featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles, is one of the lengthiest films ever made in India. The current version's runtime stands at 3 hours and 20 minutes. To improve the footfalls and increase repeated patronage, the makers of the sequel have come up with an idea of adding additional footage of 18 minutes to the existing runtime, reportedly. If the buzz is anything to go by, the new version of 3 hours and 38 minutes will be effective from December 25. However, an official announcement is, however, awaited. The makers have also released full video songs of 'Peelings,' 'Kissik,' and 'Pushpa Pushpa' already.

Pushpa 2 Synopsis

Pushparaj expands his smuggling deal internationally as Shekawat vows revenge. Meanwhile, Pushparaj decides to make Siddappa Naidu a Chief Minister. Amid his half-brother's taunts, Shekawat's challenges, and expanding his kingdom, Pushparaj seals his position as the syndicate head.

The movie stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, Jagadeep Prathap Bandari as Kesava, Sunil as Mangalam Srinu, Anasuya Bharadwaj as Dakshayani, Rao Ramesh as MP Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu, Dhananjaya as Jaali Reddy, Ajay as Molleti Mohan, Sritej as Molleti Dhrama Raj, Mime Gopi as Chennai Murugan, Brahmaji as Sub-Inspector Kupparaj, and Kalpalatha as Parvatamma. In addition to the cast reprising their roles in the sequel, Jagapathi Babu was seen playing a pivotal role in the film. Sreeleela sizzled in the special item track 'Kissik.'

Written and directed by Sukumar, the movie's dialogues were penned by Srikanth Vissa. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek cranked the camera, and AA Films distributed it. Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers banner in association with Sukumar Writings, funded the movie. Karthika Srinivas and Ruben worked as the editors. Pushpa 2 marks one of the most iconic collaborations of the successful trio Sukumar-Allu Arjun-Devi Sri Prasad.
