Pushpa 2 Premiere Stampede: Cases Booked On Allu Arjun For Causing Death of A Women & Endangering Lives

Case Filed On Allu Arjun In Hyderabad: Allu Arjun, who is basking in the glory of the success and praise coming his way for the latest sensation Pushpa 2, has sadly started off his career's biggest milestone on an unfortunate note. Putting aside all the hullabaloo of Pushpa 2 The Rule movie's release, a 39-year-old woman lost his life and her son is now battling death due to a stampede that took place in Hyderabad. Police have registered a complaint including the National Award-winning actor's name.

Allu Arjun wanted to watch the premiere of the highly awaited sequel, his career's biggest and best yet, along with his fans at Sandhya 70 MM theatre in Hyderabad. The actor reached the theatre by 9.30 PM and the management were well aware of his visit. The absence of necessary safety measures and crowd management led to a stampede once the actor was spotted by thousands of fans who turned up to get a glimpse of him.

Revathi came to the Sandhya 70 MM theatre at RTC X Roads from Dilshuknagar with her husband and two children aged 7 and 9. The boy (9), who is in critical condition at a hospital is a big fan of Allu Arjun and the family wants to watch the film's premiere at that time. Allu Arjun's arrival at about 10.30 PM quickly escalated the crowd into a stampede situation, where Revathi and her son got injured. While the efforts to resuscitate Revathi failed, her son is undergoing intensive treatment. Meanwhile, the victims are also getting slammed for risking a premiere show far away at that time with two kids.

Police registered a case depending on the complaint launched by the deceased's husband and the investigation is on. On the other hand, Allu Arjun's PR team along with the producers of the Mythri Movie Makers have reacted to the unfortunate situation and assured maximum help and cooperation. Commissioner CV Anand said, "There was no intimation from the side of theatre management or actors team that they will be visiting the theatre. Stringent action as per law will be taken against all the persons responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre leading to the death of a person and injury to others, (sic)."

In addition to the cast reprising their roles in the sequel, Jagapathi Babu was seen playing a pivotal role in the film. Sreeleela sizzled in the special item track 'Kissik.'

Written and directed by Sukumar, the movie was co-written by Srikanth Vissa. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek cranked the camera and AA Films is distributing the movie. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers banner in association with Sukumar Writings, the movie has its editing done by Karthika Srinivas and Ruben. Pushpa 2 marks yet another epic collaboration between the successful trio Sukumar-Allu Arjun-Devi Sri Prasad.
