Pushpa 2 Release Date: Pushpa 2 is the most anticipated film of 2024 after it saw a massive collection in the box office and witnessed major fan reactions across regional borders. Now, as the film is all set to come up with the second installment, named Pushpa: The Rule, fans can't hold their excitement for the same. However, amid these, there has been news of the film getting postponed. Now, it is further reported on exactly when the film will grace the big screen.

While the film was all set to grace the screen on 15 th August, it is reported that the film got postponed due to production issues citing the director, Sukumar's, willingness to reshoot several scenes for better visual experience. While it was earlier scheduled to be wrapped up by June, it will now be wrapped in July.
Amid these, the film is now reportedly to hit the screen in December. A trade analyst took to Twitter and announced that the film is eyeing for a December release while the part 1 will also see a December release. He wrote, "#Pushpa2 : December Release Planning. Part 1 Also December Release."

After Pushpa 2 is postponed, there have been reports that Sukumar is reshooting a few parts of the film which led the antagonist Fahadh Faasil redoing a lot of his scenes. Plus, after the break off of the collaboration of Karthika Srinivas and Sukumar, Navin Nooli has joined the team which resulted in futher dissatisfaction of the director regarding the VFX, who is known to be a perfectionist.
Considering these, the potential delay from August 15 might cause a massive loss in earning as the film could've earned after the release on the national holiday. The film was expected to open with worldwide gross Rs. 180-200 crores, and over 65 crores in Hindi occupancy alone. Now, if it is released on a normal day, the film is expected to open with Rs. 150 crore worldwide that might cause a potential loss of around Rs. 30 crores.
