Amid the investigation, the police have arrested Antony, lead of Allu Arjun's team of bouncers. A film industry tracker, Manobala Vijayabalan, tweeted on X, "BREAKING: Allu Arjun bouncer Antony ARRESTED by police👮🏻."
Why Was Allu Arjun's Bouncer Antony Arrested?
According to a report by ABP Telugu, Antony, Allu Arjun's bouncer, accompanied the actor to outdoor events and managed the crowd. On the day of Pushpa 2's premiere, it is reported that Antony, along with a team of 50 to 60 bouncers, went to Sandhya Theater. Allegedly, Antony and his team ignored police instructions, physically pushing officers and blocking their attempts to escort them out of the theater. In response to this, Police Commissioner CV Anand strongly criticized the bouncers during a press conference on Sunday.
The Police Commissioner made it clear that bouncers' "criminal" activities of "pushing and shoving" people won't be accepted. Reports suggest that the pushing of private security personnel was also one of the reasons for stampede to take place. As per ANI's report, CV Anand said, "In the recent incident at Sandhya Theater, we saw 40-50 bouncers behaving recklessly. Despite the presence of the public and police, they pushed everyone aside. Their sole focus was on the VIP. This is a warning to all bouncers: if they misbehave with the police, strict action will be taken against them. The behavior of the bouncers is the responsibility of the VIPs they accompany. VIPs cannot shift the blame to the bouncers; the liability rests with them (sic)."
Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun arrived at Chikkadpally police station on Tuesday morning for the inquiry regarding the Stampede case.
