Pushpa 2 Theatrical Rights: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer action-drama movie Pushpa 2 has been generating significant buzz among fans. Helmed by Sukumar, the film is a sequel to the 2021 superhit film of the same name.
Scheduled for release on August 15, Pushpa 2 is undoubtedly one of the biggest pan-India films set to release in 2024. While trade experts expect Pushpa to do incredible business at the box office upon its release, the latest reports indicate that the makers are seeking a heavy amount for the film's theatrical rights, adding to the heightened expectations surrounding the project.

There is a buzz that Pushpa 2 will stir havoc at the box office, but buyers in the Telugu states are not ready to acquire the film's theatrical rights for a huge amount, according to Track Tollywood.
Reportedly, the film makers are demanding a whopping Rs 200 crore for Pushpa's theatrical rights, a feast that only SS Rajamouli's RRR enjoys. On the other hand, the recently released Salaar was sold for Rs. 160 crore in Telugu states alone.
Given the craze for Pushpa 2 and the huge opening of the movie, the reports suggest that the makers of the film don't want to take the risk of buying its rights for such a huge price.
Pushpa has a good chance in the Andhra & Hindi belt
Pushpa's first part was quite a rage in the Hindi belt; therefore, it is expected that buyers in the Hindi belt might buy the film for a substantial price. Makers in Andhra Pradesh (6 territories) are quoting 100 crore. In the meantime, other than Sankranti releases, buyers are hesitant to pay the high amounts demanded by the makers.
In the Nizam region, the pre-release theatrical business may close at 70-75 crores, but buyers are cautious about taking significant risks for Andhra.
