To begin with, it is the much awaited sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise. This isn't all. This Sukumar directorial marks Pushpa 2's return to the big screen after 3 years. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 made an overseas collection of Rs 25 crores and entered the coveted Rs 500 crores club. Yes! The worldwide collection of Pushpa 2 has crossed another milestone and is now stands at Rs 588.90 crores on day 3 (first Saturday)

Given the ongoing trend, day 4 (first Sunday) is likely to come with another impressive hike in numbers. While Pushpa 2 is set to become the fastest Indian film to cross 600cr mark worldwide, it will be seen inching close to Rs 700 crores mark today at the worldwide box office. It will be interesting to see if Pushpa 2 can cross Rs 700 crores mark during the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
