Starring Allu Arjun in the titular role of Pushpa Raj, this Sukumar directorial also features Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Dhananjaya in key roles. Pushpa 2 has been touted to be the most expensive and lengthiest films of Indian cinema and it opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics.

Interestingly, Pushpa 2 has been roaring loud at the worldwide level and setting new records every week. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 made an overseas collection of Rs 5 crores on day 6 (first Tuesday) and took the total overseas collection of the film to Rs 176 crores. It is reported that Pushpa 2 made a record of becoming the fastest Indian film to cross Rs 900 crores at the worldwide box office and now the overall worldwide box office collection of the movie stands at Rs 947.40 crores on day 6 (first Tuesday)

Going by the trend, Pushpa 2 is expected to make a record at the worldwide box office today (day 7/ first Wednesday). The action drama is expected to earn Rs 4-5 crore in the overseas market. This isn't all. The overall collection of Pushpa 2 is expected to cross Rs 950 crore and will be inching close to Rs 1000 crores mark after week 1 at the worldwide box office. Interestingly, Pushpa 2 will be becoming the fastest Indian film to cross Rs 950 crores mark and if it touches Rs 1000 crores it will become the 7th Indian film and the 3rd Telugu film to achieve this monumental feat

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
