Rajendra Prasad's Daughter Gayathri Passes Away; Tollywood Extends Condolences To Actor's Family

Rajendra Prasad's Daughter Gayathri (38) Passes Away: Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad, one of the most versatile and epic actors of Tollywood, is bereaving his daughter Gayathri. The actor's only daughter was admitted to a hospital following her sudden chest pain in Hyderabad. She was pronounced dead on October 5.

According to the available information, Gayathri complained of chest pain on the afternoon of October 4. She was admitted into AIG Hospital where she was treated for cardiac arrest. Tollywood senior actors, filmmakers, and technicians along with political leaders are visiting Rajendra Prasad's house at this unfortunate time.

Rajendra Prasad has been vocal about his love for his daughter and how he treats her. In one of his recent public appearances, the actor shared that he sees his mother in his daughter. He also made Gayathri listen to his favourite song 'Thalli Thalli Na Chitti Thalli' song which is about a father's love towards his daughter.

Earlier in one such event, Rajendra Prasad also mentioned that he was very upset when Gayathri had opted to marry out of his choice. Rajendra Prasad's son Balaji is a techie.

Rajendra Prasad did not bring his children into the film industry. But Gayathri's daughter Swetha made her acting debut recently. She played an important role as baby Savithri in Savithri's biopic 'Mahanati,' written and directed by Nag Ashwin.

Rajendra Prasad married Chamundeswari, a relative of actress Ramaprabha. Relatives and friends of the family are expressing concern and deep shock over the untimely death of Gayathri due to cardiac arrest.

Gayathri's Funeral

Rajendra Prasad's villa in Fortune Fields is where Gayathri's remains are displayed for paying last respects. The last rites of Gayathri will be performed on October 6, reportedly. Keep watching this space for updates.
