Is Prabhas' Salaar Part 2 Shouryaangaparvam Shelved: Pan-India star Prabhas' 'Salaar Part 1- Ceasefire,' was a box office phenomenon when it hit the screens on December 22, 2023. The movie, written and directed by Prashanth Neel amassed Rs 750 Crore by the end of its theatrical run and the makers have already announced a continuation to the film titled Salaar Part 2-Shouryaangaparvam. The movie featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and others in pivotal roles.

Salaar Part 2- Shouryaangaparvam Shelved

The second part of the high-octane actioner, which has to unveil the original conflict between Salaar and the tribe of Shouryaangas, is said to have a release towards the end of this year. Earlier, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who played Varadha also confirmed that the director has almost finished the script work and will soon begin shooting for the sequel.

Creative Differences Between Prashanth Neel & Prabhas

However, the latest update, an exclusive of Telugu 360 says that the highly ambitious project has been shelved. And there is no postponement of the project but it was shelved permanently. The website mentioned that there have been creative differences between Prabhas and Prashanth Neel which led to this decision. Check out the tweet below.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel, who signed a project with Jr NTR, NTR 31, will begin working on the film and is planning to start filming by the end of August this year. Jr NTR is supposed to complete Devara Part 1 and join the sets of NTR 31, which will be funded by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts jointly.

Prabhas played the role of Devaratha aka Deva, who is also Deva Salaar. Prithviraj Sukumaran was seen in a dual role as Vardharaja Mannar and Siva Mannar. Shruti Haasan played the role of Aadhya Krishnakanth, Deva's love interest. Jagapathi Babu as Raja Mannar, Bobby Simha as Bhaarava, Tinnu Anand as Gaikwad, Ramana as Rinda, Easwari Rao as Deva's mother, Sriya Reddy as Radha Rama Mannar, Vardha's sister, Ramachandra Raju as Rudra have played their characters to perfection with ease. In addition, the movie also stars Madhu Guruswamy, Saptagiri, Brahmaji, Shafi, Jhansi, John Vijay, Mime Gopi, Prudhvi Raj, and Simrat Kaur.

Made on a budget of about Rs 270 Crore, Salaar is the production venture of Hombale Films, with Vijay Kiragandur at the helm. Bhuvan Gowda cranked the camera and Ujwal Kulkarni worked as the editor. Ravi Basrur composed the film's entire soundtrack and music.
