On the release day, Nani's latest action drama Saripodhaa Sanivaaram began with a bang overseas with $350K in advance bookings before it hit the screens. In India, there were several issues regarding bookings and in important places like Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh, the bookings didn't start on time.

The movie was expected to earn better than his previous mass action action 'Dasara' but only settled as his career's second-highest opener. In India, the movie made Rs 8.75 Crore from all languages while the overall worldwide earnings are counted up to Rs 25 Crore plus.

The movie stars Nani as Surya, Priyanka Mohan as Charu aka Charulatha, S.J. Suryah as R. Dayanand, Murali Sharma as Koormanand, Aditi Balan as Bhadra, Sai Kumar as Surya's father Sankaram, and Subhalekha Sudhakar as Kamalakar, Supreeth as Kaali, Abhirami as Chayadevi, Ajay as Govardhan, Ajay Ghosh as Narayana Prabha among others in prominent roles.

The movie was written and directed by Vivek Athreya. DVV Danayya under his DVV Entertainment banner bankrolled the movie on a budget of about Rs 90 Crore, the highest in Nani's career to date. The film's music and sound are composed by Jakes Bejoy. Murali G. cranked the camera while Karthika Srinivas worked as the film's editor.
