Sathyam Sundaram Box Office Prediction Day 1: Filmmaker C. Prem Kumar's latest emotional drama, dubbed as a slice-of-life film, 'Meiyazhagan' starring Karthi and Arvind Swami was released in Telugu as 'Sathyam Sundaram' on September 28. Sathyam Sundaram Synopsis

The movie is set in 1996. Sathyam (Arvind Swami) was forced to leave his family house in Guntur along with his parents owing to a few problems. They move to Visakhapatnam for livelihood. After 20 years, Sathyam returns to Guntur to attend his cousin's wedding and meets Sundaram (Karthi). Sundaram showers his affection on Sathyam which bewilders him. Eventually, he strikes a chord with Sundaram but can't recognize who Sundaram is. Sathyam returns to Vizag and tries to discover Sundaram's identity.

Despite heavy competition from Sathyam Sundaram, the release day shows in Telugu are a whopping 350. The movie is expected to make about Rs 1.5 Crore easily from the Telugu version.
