Sharwanand Joins The Arshad Warsi-Prabhas & Nani Row; Says 'Actors Should Have Basic Ethics,' Full Story HERE
Arshad Warsi-Prabhas Row: It all began when Arshad Warsi's comments on pan-India star, 'Darling' Prabhas went viral on the internet. He said, "Prabhas was like Joker" referring to his performance as Kalki 2898 AD which earned the wrath of Prabhas fans along with receiving a huge amount of condemnation.
Nani, who was recently asked about it during the promotions of his upcoming film 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' said, "This must be the most publicity he (referring to Arshad Warsi) has got in his life. You are unnecessarily glorifying an unimportant matter."
Nani was surprisingly ridiculed and was trolled for it as his name trended on social media platforms. While Nani reportedly regretted saying what he said and in an exclusive chat with TOI elaborated, "Prabhas is a person.. because of how he is over the years, everyone owns him, he's not just this big star who does big films, but because of his humble nature, we feel like we own him.
Nani Regrets Talking About It
During the press meeting, I was asked about it and I kept on hearing that he was called something..so I've reacted to it. And later, when I went back and saw the whole thing..I realized this whole thing is being blown out of proportion..choice of words could have been better, but that is a different debate altogether, and even my statement is blown out of proportion. I also realized that I should concentrate on my movie. When someone speaks something about someone we love, even if it is unintentional, we will react... That's exactly what happened here with fans, audience, and the actors."
When the issue popped into the headlines, Sudheer Babu was also one of the first Tollywood actors to speak about it. He said, "It's okay to criticize constructively, but it's never okay to bad-mouth. I never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas's stature is too big for comments coming from small minds."
Sharwanand REACTS To Arshad Warsi's Comments On Prabhas
Adding to the ongoing issue, Sharwanand put out a tweet directing Arshad Warsi and wrote, "An actor should never criticize another actor. It's a basic ethic, (sic)."
Filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi, who made 'RX 100' and 'Mangalavaaram' stated, "Prabhas has done so much for Indian cinema. It's clear from Warsi's comments that he's feeling overshadowed."
