Who Is Shekar Basha, Bigg Boss Telugu 8 Contestant? Telugu TV's highly-awaited reality show Bigg Boss Telugu is back with its new season. Season 8 of the Bigg Boss Telugu is ready to offer 'limitless entertainment' with its shocking surprises and twists in this new season which is going to be launched at 7 PM today on the Star Maa television channel.

RJ Shekar Basha is a popular VJ and RJ who enjoyed a massive fan following among young girls in his prime days. He was known for his television presence as a host and anchor for tens of shows which had hundreds of episodes. He recently made headlines after a hiatus for taking the initiative in Raj Tarun's ex-lover Lavanya's issue after she filed fake cases on the 'Naa Saami Ranga' actor.

Shekar Basha also acted in a movie titled 'Naa Nuvve' and even otherwise is popular on the FM, TV, and YouTube platforms. He began his career as a radio jockey with BIG FM 92.7 in Hyderabad. He is also the winner of the Excellence in Radio Award which he won as many as 18 times including the award 'RJ of the Year 2019,' India's most prestigious award for RJs. As a video jockey, Shekar Basha also won the 'Best VJ of the year 2016' of Padma Mohana awards.

For this brand new season too, the housemates are going to be a mix of small-screen celebrities, actors, actresses, and social media influencers. They are all going to take part in the reality show together under a roof as groups and individuals. A series of games, contests, and challenges are thrown at them during weekdays and the weekends are reserved for the host's review.

The names of the confirmed contestants for the Bigg Boss Telugu 8 are:
Aditya Om, Shekhar Basha, Yashmi Gowda, Vishnu Priya, Abhai Naveen, Prerana, Nainika, Sonia Akula, Nikhil, Bezawada Bebakka, Seetha, and Naga Manikanta among others.

List of Names For Back-Up

The show's makers have also put a couple of other finalised contestants as backup. Jabardasth Rocking Rakesh, model-cum-doctor Ravi Teja, news reader Kalyani, and Prithvi Raj.

The names of Shanoor Sana, Indraaniel Varma, Anjali Pavan, Nandu Ramisetty, Khayyum Ali, and Vismaya Sri have done the rounds as the rumoured contestants. While Nandu Ramisetty was not approached at all, the others have been offered a chance and they declined it citing various reasons. Indraaniel Varma, Anjali Pavan, and Vismaya Sri have backed out.
