Pushpa Actor Sritej Faces Legal Action After Woman Files Case Alleging Deception Over Promise Of Marriage

Sritej Faces Legal Trouble: Tollywood actor Sritej, known for his roles in films like Pushpa: The Rise and Lakshmi's NTR, is facing legal action following a complaint filed by his live-in partner at the Kukatpally police station. The woman has accused the 38-year-old actor of deceiving her by promising to marry her while maintaining a physical relationship with her. Based on her complaint, the police reportedly have registered a case against Sritej under sections BNS 69, 115(2), and 318(2).
Reports suggest that the woman, 37, had been in a relationship with Sritej for over a year, during which he allegedly made promises of marriage. However, according to the complaint, Sritej began avoiding her in April. In response, the woman initially filed a complaint at the Kukatpally police station, which led to the registration of a cheating case. The police have concluded their investigation, and charges have been filed in the case.
On Monday, the woman filed a new complaint at the Gachibowli police station, leading to the issuance of a zero FIR, which was subsequently transferred to the Kukatpally police station. A fresh case was subsequently registered, and investigations are currently underway.
Sritej's Career
Sritej is widely recognized for his role as Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Lakshmi's NTR, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He has also featured in Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR: Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu, where he portrayed Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. His other notable works include Dhamaka, Vangaveeti, Ravanasura, Mangalavaaram, and several web series like Parampara, 9 Hours, and Bahishkarana. Sritej will also reprise his role as Molleti Dharma Raj in the upcoming film Pushpa: The Rule.
