List Of Telugu Theatrical Releases On May 3: After a dry April in Tollywood, where films like Vijay Deverakonda's 'The Family Star' starring Mrunal Thakur failed to utilize the summer vacation season, a new set of releases are ready to hit the Telugu screens worldwide starting the first week of May this year in 2024. From horror-comedy films to psychological thrillers and action dramas, there are more than four releases this week. Here are the details below.
Allari Naresh's 'Aa Okkati Adakku'
Tollywood's most-loved actor Allari Naresh is back to the big screens with a comedy entertainer after a very long time. His fans are excited for his comedy film, which is his forte. After doing only slapstick and parody comedies, Naresh took a break and shifted focus to performance-oriented and serious roles, to bring out his other side as an actor, which he successfully did with films like Naandhi and Ugram. For the fans who missed his comedy timing and energy on the screen, Aa Okkati Adakku is a relief.
The movie is hitting screens on May 3 worldwide and stars Faria Abdullah as the female lead. Malli Ankam wrote and directed the movie which stars Vennela Kishore, Harsha Chemudu, and others.
Suhas' 'Prasanna Vadanam'
Suhas emerged as one of the most bankable heroes in Tollywood among the young generation of actors. He started with YouTube short films and within no time got recognition for his talent. From playing supporting roles in films to becoming a solo hero within two years, Suhas already has more than three big hits back-to-back.
His latest film after 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' is Prasanna Vadanam, which was written and directed by one of Sukumar's assistant directors Arjun Y.K. The movie is the story of a protagonist who witnesses a murder but has a condition called 'face blindness.' The movie is hitting the screens worldwide on May 3.
Tamannaah & Raashii Khanna's 'Baak' aka Aranmanai 4
Co-written, and directed by Sundar C, Aranmanai 4 is the sequel to Aranmanai 3, which is one of the highly successful comedy-horror films in Kollywood. The movie which stars Tamannaah and Raashii Khanna along with Sundar C in the lead roles is dubbed as 'Baak' in Telugu. The movie is going to open in theatres worldwide in Tamil and Telugu at a time on May 3.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's 'Sabari'
Written and directed by Anil Katz, Sabari is the latest film featuring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role. The movie is a psychological drama in which Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays the role of a separated mother with a daughter, as a single parent. The movie is also a pan-India release and has actors like Ganesh Venkatraman, Mime Gopi, Shashank, and Rajashree Nair among others in important roles. The movie is ready to hit the screens on May 3.
Virinchi Varma's 'Jithender Reddy'
The writer-director of Raj Tarun and Avika Gor's 'Uyyala Jampala' Virinchi Varma came up with a real-life based movie titled 'Jithender Reddy.' Featuring Rakesh Varre in the lead role, the movie is a political drama set in 1980. The movie is going to hit screens on May 3.
