Naga Chaitanya Throws Light On His Preparation For Thandel: Naga Chaitanya is the honest and genuine actor of the young generation in Tollywood. Despite his cent percent efforts, the actor, who carries forward the lineage of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Nagarjuna, is awaiting a massive commercial hit. The actor, who made his OTT debut with Prime Video's 'Dhootha' won appreciation for the grey character he played in the suspense thriller and is now working on his 'biggest film' to date.

Titled 'Thandel,' the movie was written and is being directed by 'Karthikeya 2' fame Chandoo Mondeti, who became one of the most after directors in Tollywood. Sai Pallavi is playing the film's leading lady by collaborating with Naga Chaitanya for the second time after Sekhar Kammula's 'Love Story.'

Naga Chaitanya enjoys a special fanbase. He earned more love from his fans for his public personality and no-frills attitude. At the very same time, the actor is a private person.

Naga Chaitanya visibly underwent a makeover for the role and he has been sporting his fully grown hair and beard look, which is pretty much how he is going to appear in the movie. The actor's rugged hair and the visible over-the-top and de-glamourized look released by the makers not only garnered appreciation but also amplified the expectations for the movie.

In a recent interview, the actor spoke about Thandel and his preparation for the fisherman's role. The actor said, "It is such an inspirational story and I wanted to make sure I get everything right, especially the Srikakulam accent. This is the biggest film of my career and I needed this role. It took me nearly nine months to get everything ready and confident to go for the shoot. We also did a small workshop with the fishermen community in Srikakulam before the production began."

Thandel Is A True Story Of An Indian Fisherman

After the movie was officially announced, the team made it clear that the movie was about a fisherman and his background. They all went to Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh for a basic recce and workshop of sorts to interact with the people of the community.

In addition, director Chandoo revealed that the story is of a fisherman who entered the Pakistan waters after going to work in fishing boats in Gujarat. The incident happened in 2018 and it moved our nation, along with Karachi, Pakistan.

Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas are funding the project; Devi Sri Prasad is composing its entire soundtrack.
