Naga Chaitanya's Career-Best OTT Deal Closed For Thandel: Yuvasamrat of Tollywood, Naga Chaitanya, who gives his all to play the characters that he picks up, enjoys a decent fanbase. The actor's upcoming film is titled 'Thandel,' in which he is acting along with Sai Pallavi, under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti, who scored a pan-India success with 'Karthikeya 2.'

For Thandel, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi have come together for the second time. Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas are funding the movie under the GA 2 Production banner. The filming of Thandel is happening at lightning speed and the actor's new makeover for the film got approved by the fans, who are going crazy for the updates.

Thandel Is A True Story Of An Indian Fisherman

After the movie was officially announced, the team made it clear that the movie was about a fisherman and his background. They all went to Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh for a basic recce and workshop of sorts to interact with the people of the community.

Naga Chaitanya visibly underwent a makeover for the role and he has been sporting his fully grown hair and beard look, which is pretty much how he is going to appear in the movie. In addition, director Chandoo revealed that the story is of a fisherman who entered the Pakistan waters after going to work in fishing boats in Gujarat. The incident happened in 2018 and it moved our nation, along with Karachi, Pakistan.

Thandel OTT Rights Sold For A Bomb

Netflix India, the OTT giant known for hand-picking quality films has reportedly spent a bomb, considering the market of Naga Chaitanya, to acquire the digital streaming rights of Thandel. This is the highest-ever in the career of Naga Chaitanya. The filmmakers were said to have been thrilled about signing the deal for a whopping Rs 40 Crore.
