The GOAT Telugu Box Office Collection Day 2: The GOAT Telugu Box Office Collection: The latest action-entertainer featuring the Thalapathy, The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, was released to an unimaginable hype in Tamil and Telugu on September 5.

The movie, which stars a plenty of notable actors including Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, and Meenakshi Chaudhary among others has Vijay playing a dual role as a father and son. The movie is also special for the fans as Vijay played both the antagonist and the protagonist with a typical Venkat Prabhu narration.

Sadly, the movie's lack of a strong story point and an effective narration led to a massive drop in the occupancy ratio on the second day.

GOAT Synopsis

Gandhi (Vijay) is a successful member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) and is known for his terrorist mission in Kenya, under the leadership of Menon (Mohan). While in Bangkok, Gandhi finds out that his son Jeevan (Vijay) is dead and years later is shocked to see Jeevan alive and kicking in Russia. After they come home, unusual events start forcing Gandhi to uncover the truth behind Jeevan's disappearance and reappearance.

The movie opened to a thrilling reception at the box office worldwide in Tamil and Telugu. The movie's Telugu rights business earned Rs 21 Crore and already earned about Rs 3 Crore on its opening day from the Telugu version. In India, the GOAT movie earned about Rs 43 crore, which is very low per the trade experts. The worldwide collection surpassed Rs 120 Crore worldwide on its first day.

The movie's lack of a story selling point made Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT a tedious watch on the big screen, opined a few critics. On the second day of its theatrical performance, the movie's Telugu version earned ONLY about Rs 1.25 Crore.
