The GOAT Telugu Box Office Collection: Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, was released amid sky-high expectations in Tamil and Telugu on September 5 worldwide. The movie which stars several notable actors, including Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, and Meenakshi Chaudhary among interesting cameos failed to live up to the expectations, according to the reviews from fans and critics.

In Thalapathy Vijay's GOAT movie, Vijay played a dual role as a father and son. The movie is also special for fans as Vijay plays both the antagonist and the protagonist with a typical Venkat Prabhu narration, which he took up after a very long time. Sadly, the movie's lack of a strong story point and an effective narration led to a massive drop in the occupancy ratio on the second day.

GOAT Synopsis
Gandhi (Vijay) is a successful member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) and is known for his terrorist mission in Kenya, under the leadership of Menon (Mohan). While in Bangkok, Gandhi finds out that his son Jeevan (Vijay) is dead and years later is shocked to see Jeevan alive and kicking in Russia. After they come home, unusual events start forcing Gandhi to uncover the truth behind Jeevan's disappearance and reappearance.

The movie opened to a thrilling reception at the box office worldwide in Tamil and Telugu. The movie's Telugu rights business earned Rs 21 Crore and already earned about Rs 3 Crore on its opening day from the Telugu version.

A few critics opined that Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT was a tedious watch on the big screen due to its dull narrative and lack of a story selling point.
