The Raja Saab: Prabhas Lowers His Remuneration For Director Maruthi's Horror-Comedy For A REASON; Here's Why
Prabhas Reduces Remuneration For The Raja Saab: The pan-India star Prabhas, who achieved a great historic milestone at the worldwide box office with Kalki 2898 AD, is also working on a humble film written and directed by Maruthi. Titled The Raja Saab, the movie is being made on a Rs 200 Crore budget and is a horror-comedy, reportedly.
The movie is being shot extensively in and around Hyderabad and is aiming to hit the screens in January 2025 in all five languages owing to the image Prabhas has. Despite the movie making the grand announcement and poster release along with the title in the early 2022, the makers only started filming scenes from September 2022. Prabhas' jam-packed shooting schedules for back-to-back films prevented the movie from completing the shooting at the earliest. In addition, Prabhas will be sporting a new look with fully grown hair and beard in the movie. When the title poster was dropped, fans were thrilled about the film and the actor's look as he has only been doing big-budget pan-India level film with star-studded and multi-starrer cast.
Prabhas Lessens His Remuneration
As per the latest buzz in Tollywood, Prabhas, who usually takes a remuneration upwards of Rs 150 Crore for every project, has reportedly volunteered to lower his remuneration for this film. The actor, who is known for his benevolent nature and very down-to-earth attitude is called 'Darling' for a reason.
The producers of People Media Factory have incurred severe losses for distributing Prabhas' highly criticized film 'Adipurush.' To compensate for the same, the actor is said to have agreed to take less remuneration. A report on OTTPlay mentioned that the actor is only taking Rs 100 Crore as salary for The Raja Saab movie.
The Raja Saab stars Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Yogi Babu among others. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing a key role.
Written and directed by Maruthi, the movie is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla under the People Media Factory banner. Karthik Palani cranked the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked as the editor. Thaman S is composing the sound and score for the movie.
