VD 14: Vijay Deverakonda's Next With Rahul Sankrityan Announced

Tollywood's sensation Vijay Deverakonda celebrates his 35th birthday and the actor's fans were treated to exciting updates from his upcoming films. His films include the second collaboration of 'Taxiwaala,' fame Rahul Sankrityan. Putting the rumours to rest, the official announcement of Vijay Deverakonda's collaboration with his 'Taxiwaala' director Rahul Sankrityan has come out on May 9, celebrating the actor's birthday.

Referred to as VD 14, this epic period fantasy thriller will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who also released an announcement poster with intriguing details about the film. The filmmakers gave away a little information about the film and it excited the film buffs and lovers of the genre.

Rahul Sankrityan is known for horror thrillers and his films made an impact at the box office starting from his debut film 'The End,' to Vijay Deverakonda's 'Taxiwaala,' and Natural star Nani's 'Shyam Singha Roy.' The expectations for VD 14 have leveled up after the announcement confirming the genre.

VD 14 Premise

Going by the poster design, VD 14 is set in the 18th century and is the story that takes place between 1854 and 1878. The actioner will have a pan-India release in five languages and it is about 'The Legend of the Cursed Land.'

In the poster, a stone carved with the details of a king riding a horseback and the caption caused intrigue, making the fans of the actor beam with excitement and anticipation.

Vijay Deverakonda is currently taking part in the shooting of an action thriller written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey fame. Referred to as VD 12, the movie's production and post-production teams are working in tandem to complete the filming at the earliest.

Sadly, there was no other update on the occasion from the team. They however posted a notice about the film's shooting location in and around Visakhapatnam and assured to deliver nothing but the best.

Vijay Deverakonda also signed another film with Dil Raju's SVC banner after their recent film 'The Family Star.' Ravi Kiran Kola of Kiran Abbavaram's 'Raaja Vaaru Raani Gaaru' is going to direct the movie. The movie's poster was also released as SVC's 59th film.

VD 13 is going to be a blood-splatting mass-action film, going by the looks of it. The caption also reads, 'The blood on my hands is not of their death...but of my own rebirth.' The film's leading lady is yet to be signed.
