Vettaiyan Telugu Box Office Collection Day 2: Superstar Rajinikanth's collaboration with filmmaker T.J. Gnanavel sparked excitement and Vettaiyan, which dealt with one of the most important topics of commercialization of education, was released worldwide on October 10 on the occasion of the Dussehra festival season.

Vettaiyan was released in Telugu with the same title and garnered importance for its ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil. Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Manju Warrier played prominent female lead characters in the movie.

Vettaiyan Synopsis

Athiyan (Rajinikanth) is a strict cop who goes beyond the law to safeguard justice. He is known as an encounter specialist. He becomes interested in a school teacher Sharanya (Dushara Vijayan) who also cannot stand injustice and tries to expose a dangerous scam involving students. Sharanya gets brutally killed and the wrong person is encountered by Athiyan. How Athiyan finds out the truth and reason behind Sharanya's death is the crux of Vettaiyan.

Due to the lack of promotions across the two Telugu states, Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan couldn't get the openings it deserved, or any other superstar's film for that matter.
